The newest addition to David Chang’s East Village dining empire holds a mere 12 seats, all at the bar. Reservations can be booked only a week in advance by logging on to the Momofuku website--and they go fast! If you do happen to score a seat, however, you can expect no waiters, no decorations on the plain butcher-block walls, and no printed menu. The ten course, prix fixe menu is just as inventive as it savory, from the kimchee purée to deep-fried short ribs to the cereal-milk panna cotta.
