You don't normally expect to find excellent French dining in a suburban strip mall, but the Northshore Brasserie is a refreshing surprise. Executive Chef Shane Robertson offers a straightforward menu of artfully prepared items, from hors d'oevres like Iron Skillet Escargots, crispy frog legs or foie gras to grand entrees like duck leg confit, pinot braised lamb shank, or coq au vin. Other classics include NY steak frites, plat du jours like bouillabaise, and sides like addictive pommes frites. The perfectly executed food, like the dining room, is elegant yet relaxed.
