Among the ethnic Hot Zone eateries of Minneapolis stands a Nordic stalwart. The Black Forest Inn has been on Nicollet since 1965, long before it was ever called Eat Street. The legendary courtyard, bullet-holed murals, and killer sausages all add to the mystique of the Black Forest. Handmade brats, springy spaetzle, sauerkraut, German potato salad, and wurst salad are all for sale to-go, by the pound. Pitty the large selection of European beers isn't sold the same way.
